Choosing from the top 10 best dog foods does not have to be difficult. Most dog owners seem to make this task a hard thing to do. Well the good news is, it' not that hard at all. You don't have to be one of those dog owners. If you let yourself become overwhelmed by the huge amount of manufacturer's, all of the extensive varieties, all of the claims made as to what and who is the best, relax.

Some dog owners also get wrapped up in what their dog will eat and what he won't eat. Usually, the owner will let this be a determining factor as to what to feed their dog. They say their dog is a picky eater, so to make the owner's life easier, they feed him what he seems to enjoy and will eat. Is this a good practice? Absolutely not. Remember, it is extremely easy for the manufacturer to ad sugars, flavoring, chemicals, fillers and certainly not much nutritional value whatsoever. But, they can make it tasty for your dog.

Your dog needs personal preference for sure. I was not telling you to ignore your dog's preference, but rather, to pay attention to his dietary needs. Does this mean buying a cheaper dog food is the right way to go? Obviously not. Because no doubt, it is void of the nutrients and vitamins and healthy ingredients your dog needs. Thereby, creating health symptoms in your dog, and thus increasing your vet bills. And believe me, it is not just a wash out. In fact, the latter will far exceed the cost of the cheaper dog food. Following this course of action, is definitely not what you might call increasing the wellness of the dog. The counterpart to this is to see to it, that your best friend receives a well balanced diet, which has been scientifically balanced to their age, size and breed. Your dog may also have other significant issues that you need to address, such as a sensitive stomach, allergies to certain ingredients, an overwieght problem, and the like. This all needs to be balanced in his diet. And, the idea that a premium or renouned dog food will assure this, is not necessarily true.

Who rates dog foods and how do they do it? Good question, some ratings are good and unbiased, while others are somewhat skewed and influenced. And some, are just way out in left field. One dog food reviewer might tell you that acana dog food reviews or that acana grasslands dog food is within the top 10 best dog foods. But I think this kind of claims lend themselves more to popularity that gospel. Again, I am not saying that the review or statistics are not correct, but there is much more that you need to take into consideration when selecting your dog food.
